| Bio: | Suneel(a) is a transgender grrrl living in the borderlands of culture, race and sexuality. For her the creative, artistic, the personal IS the political. Raised a boy, (s)he started writing poetry and stories at the age of 14, and studied theatre for two years in school. At some point in time, around the age of 16, (s)he realized that (s)he wasn't really a he inside, despite being birth-assigned male, and Suneel(a)'s political revolutionization has been closely intertwined with her shedding of gender boundaries and categorizations. She pursues writing, spoken word performance and theater while learning to trash the system from the belly of the Ivy League Beast. I spent three months in Palestine this summer causing various kinds of (non-violent) trouble in the West Bank and studying Arabic at Birzeit University. It changed me (somewhat) forever while reminding me about somethings that will never change about me. This journal has since become partly my personal journey and partly Palestine-related commentary. All pieces of writing posted on this journal may NOT be lifted and used elsewhere without at least notifying me, forget about permission, not because im afraid of losing money, but out of mutual respect. ------ DISCLAIMER ------- For any authorities who may read writings on this journal, and take my writings to be "violent" or "dangerous" please note that this is poetry and creative writing, a lot of which has been published in various places and not "terrorist plans" as you may think.
